I knew from the past (though not publish this) work placement that there is a strong correlation between PGR general job search classification and placement programs classification, research universities, and pants (which is true in all academic areas, no only philosophy); what surprised me was how much this little exercise was no correlation between the rank and tenure track PGR work placement global positioning. Of course, the numbers are small, and if two or three people have made different decisions (accepting the tenure-track job instead of the post-doc, not being the Joint Monitoring other academic career, etc.) the results would 'm different; so, too, if you used a different window.work placement (Right after this window, job search a graduate of the University of California Riverside has earned a permanent position in a doctoral program in the list, while another has a tenure-track position in a job search research program aimed at MA-granting. I tried the Master ranking terminal program that appointments of university research, and I used US News ranking of liberal arts colleges as rude to cut pants.)
At day's end, note that even within the department,work placement successful investment often follows the teachers that work. For this reason, it is useful for students to examine the records of investment. Years ago, as a veteran readers know, I departments "intimidated" showing detailed records of placement (by threatening to call the PGR if they do not).work placement (Pogo "bullied" in quotes, for obvious reasons :. Another installment,work placement I hope will be confirmed in a larger study along these lines: everything remains much the same, universities 'brand' still enjoy a slight advantage in terms of placement. But more than that once we have more information.
UPDATE: work placement research purposes were job search here AA universities, universities offering doctoral programs (either listed or not), job search and terminal MA programs are classified; outside the United States, it becomes a little more complicated, but usually gets more or less analogous to them was so short.
